Quality Assurance Manager - Position Overview
Full-time (40 hr. week) -- $50,000-$52,000 annually

The Quality Assurance Manager is a professional in the field of services for adults with intellectual disabilities who will provide a system of continuing quality improvement for the agency’s programs and its employees.  The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing quality indicators, reporting unusual incidents, forwarding reports to the Division of Developmental Disabilities, tracking and trending of incidents, and investigation of significant incidents as they occur.

Essential Functions
  • Aggregates data for tracking and trending and identification of quality issues resulting from incidents reported
  • Continued Quality Improvement (CQI):  Completes an annual CQI report on outcomes achieved and makes recommendation for following year for CQI objectives;
  • Conducts quarterly on-site audits of day and residential operations; shares findings and follows-up on areas cited during audits;
  • Facilitates team meetings with Management Team on quality outcomes;
  • Assist team in quality improvement needs;
  • Unusual Incident Report (UIR) & Tracking:
  • Receives initial reports from management team of unusual incidents.
  • Immediate follow-up as needed to classify and put together a UIR.
  • Complete UIR’s in a timely manner and forwards to Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
  • Investigates UIR’s that merit an investigative process; submits follow-up reports to DDD.
  • Maintains communication with families/guardians and coordinates annual family/guardian meetings plus other mandates under Stephen Komninos law;
  • Reports outcomes of audits and surveys quarterly;
  • Reviews and assesses Therap (Electronic Health Record) documentation for quality outcomes; and
  • Surveys annually key stakeholders to obtain satisfaction.
Position Requirements
  • Education: College Degree preferred; experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Knowledge of DDD and OOL incident reporting process and protocols
  • Knowledge of Therap (Electronic Health Record) a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service skills; training and facilitating skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of DHS and DDD systems and services
