Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk
OmniGuide Inc. is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk to join their team in Billerica, Massachusetts 01821.

About the role:
Candidate will handle both initial shipping and any returns or replacements. When necessary, he or she will also cross-train and participate in other aspects of the business, particularly on the administrative side.
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
What you'll do:
• Overseeing inventory control, managing deliveries, maintaining inventory records including inventory workorders and transfers.
• Managing deliveries, determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. using strapping machine.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse.
• Prepare shipping documents along with the correct mailing labels and ensure that all orders and withdrawal requests from the warehouse are correctly fulfilled.
• Consolidate shipping orders.
• Handle both initial shipping and any returns or replacements.
• Cross-train and participate in other aspects of the business, particularly on the administrative side.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Perform the unpacking of consolidated shipment deliveries and distribute contents to the right warehouse bin location.
• Accomplish daily goods movement flow and submit to the Logistics head
• Maintain the automated inventory management system to ensure that actual physical inventory matches the database logical inventory.
• In addition to the essential functions listed above, other responsibilities and key result areas as assigned
Our ideal candidate:
Education and experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Post-secondary course (preferred)
• 2-3 years of experience in a related industry an advantage
