About the role

An ADP Client, ServerFarm Data Centers, is actively seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

Role: Critical Facilities Services – Critical Facilities Technician

Reports to: Director – Site Operations

Server Farm Critical Facilities Services provides two main functions. SFCFS seeks to deliver uninterrupted power and cooling to each data center in the Server Farm portfolio. This is complimented by providing remote monitoring services to both internal sites and external clients

The Critical Facilities Technician are responsible for the day-to-day operation of critical facilities. They are key components of the ServerFarm commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence as well as being the eyes and ears of the Site.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
  • Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
  • Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities.
  • Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes.
  • Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
  • Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
  • Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
  • Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management.
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the management team.

Shared Accountabilities:

  • Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
  • Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards.
  • Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure.
