About the role

Solutions Engineer (Remote)
 
We are currently seeking a full-time Solutions Engineer to join our team remotely.

We are a fast-growing software developer that provides a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution for companies offering IT support to the SMB market. Our diverse client base ranges from one-man shops to those with hundreds of employees.  We have clients in over 20 countries and host our software in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.  Our solution is a category-defining offering that is transforming the SMB IT services industry.

We are headquartered in Dallas, Texas but have no physical office.  We are a remote-only employer with employees located across the United States from Portland, Oregon to Miami, Florida.  We embrace remote work and utilize it to keep our staff engaged, informed, and always feeling like a part of an exceptional team.

We are led by a former public-company CEO with over 30 years of experience in the software industry and already have in place a solid and experienced management team.
 
About the Role:
As our Solutions Engineer, you’ll be the strategic technical advisor to our partners as they begin to evaluate the software during a trial phase.  You’ll champion the efforts of our partners to secure the technical win by shepherding necessary technical resources throughout the sales process.  Your efforts will have a direct impact on the decision-making process for our partners.  You’ll assist in mentoring, coaching and directly implementing our software during a trial phase of the sales process to our prospects.  This will help aid in a decision-making process that will help drive successful adoption of our SaaS offering. 
 
What You'll Do:
Work alongside the sales team taking pre-qualified prospects to the technical solution stage of our offer
Gather project requirements from each client in the demo phase of each call
Build custom and tailored software instances that are geared towards each prospects business objectives and goals
Find the best technical architecture and solution among all possible options to solve the existing business problems of our prospects and supporting sales in proposing viable solutions
Take prospects through technical demos
Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of our solutions to our prospects and guiding them through the possible changes to their technical landscape
Definite features, phases, and solution requirements prior to a technical kick off
Communicate with our sales team regarding the progress of each prospect to ensure they have the best chance of understanding our product
Act as a liaison between sales and implementation on the technical resources needed for each prospect
Develop and maintain reporting information to showcase sales and implementation effectiveness with Executive Leadership
Communicate and manage internal and external implementation requirements and expectations
Ensure successful deployment and satisfaction of each implementation plan
Assist and report to the VP of Partner Success in overall completion of the technical phase of the trial for each prospect to ensure a successful and competent decision-making process
Consult, manage and grow relationships through solving current and future technical needs during a trial phase of our sales process

Our Ideal Candidate:
Education and experience
2+ years of experience in technical solutions engineer or sales engineering

Required Skills and Abilities
Proven communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Solid attention to detail; excellent organization skills with the ability to balance numerous prospects
Customer champion mindset
Willingness to learn in a high-paced SaaS environment

What We Offer:
$80,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience
Mandatory vacation – you are expected to periodically recharge and refresh
401(k) with Safe Harbor company contribution of 3%
