IT Applications Manager

An ADP client is currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next IT Applications Manager to join our team in our Doral, Florida 33172 location.

About the Role:

The IT Applications Manager role is a key member of the IT team, working alongside internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for the management, supervision, implementation, testing and maintenance of business applications programs.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. 

In charge of business application implementations and assessment.

Clear understanding of EDI implementation, automation, and development.

Assesses customer and/or business process requirements; analyzes structure and flow of work and data that support needs; evaluates possible solutions and implements and/or recommends solutions that support the mission, values, and goals of the company.

Performs project management and participates on project teams responsible for system hardware and application software implementation and upgrades; determines project scope and staff resources required to complete projects; prepares project work plans and timelines.

Monitors project milestones and reports project progress to management.

Works closely with technical staff, vendors, and contacts from other businesses to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

Assures technical support problem resolution related to networks, servers, desktops, database management software, operating systems, and/or business application software systems through cooperative relationship with other IT staff.

Performs system administration activities, which includes coordinating and managing the purchasing, installation, and configuration of desktops, software, and related application software upgrades.

Creates and maintains standards, procedures, and documentation related to area of responsibility.

Participates in computer audits and perform testing for disaster recovery process, ensuring a secure processing environment that protects the integrity and availability of information.

Implements system changes and administers access to systems and information utilizing approved information technology security policies, standards, and guidelines.

Develops automated business systems and provide application administrative support across applications as needed.

Researches, implements, and manages software programs.

Tests and evaluates new programs.

Identifies areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently coordinate these modifications.

Determines operational practicality.

Develops quality assurance procedures.

Deploys software tools, processes, and metrics.

Maintains and updates existing systems.

Other duties may be assigned by management.

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems, MIS, or related field.

At least 2+ years of management experience.

At least 5 years work experience in logistics Information Technology systems that included project management, complex application administration, implementation of software applications, and contact with customers/users.

Project Management – MS Project experience.

Good knowledge of Salesforce CRM administration and support.

QLIK and Adaptive Planning experience a plus.

Experience with database management system software, ERP software, web platform development software, and related tools.

Experience and knowledge of SQL Query and Power BI.

Experience with Skyvia, and DCKAP Cloras a plus.

Some programing experience as plus.

Clear understanding of design and development of API.

A strong understanding of the concept of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

Strong understanding of relational database design and web technologies.

Ability to evaluate an existing architecture and document issues and suggested improvements.

Ability to work independently as well as within a small team.

Ability to understand technical documents.

Ability to successfully manage multiple task assignments across several projects.

Proactive approach to problem resolution and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus, but not required.
