Sr. Outbound Logistics Manager

An ADP client is currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next Logistics Manager to join our team in our Doral, Florida 33172 location.

About the Role:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  

  • Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation, documentation, and logistics quality management.
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
  • Monitor’s accuracy of logistics documentation, and the preparation of logistics reports.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, or customer issues.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
  • Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
  • Support the company to analyze and implement a Bonded Warehouse or Foreign Trade Zone
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, simplification, and standardization within the Logistics area and actively support process effectiveness across the other functional areas i.e., Procurement, Sales, Finance, etc.
  • Continually refines existing processes, procedures, and systems to make the import and export of goods as efficient and cost effective as possible.
  • Assist in managing transportation spend cost efficiencies within business unit logistics requirements.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes.
  • Responsible for creating and ensuring SOPs are being followed for all international shipments, rates, import documentation, customer service, and sales support initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing the communication with the freight forwarders and custom brokers.
  • Develop formal carrier scorecards and conduct timely business reviews with all partners 
  • Assess and manage supplier KPIs and Scorecards.
  • Perform track and trace through various sources of high priority products on order.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree significant related work experience in logistics or customer supply chain.
  • At least 5 years work experience in logistics.
  • Exposure and understanding of supply chain management.
  • Possess minimum 5 years industry experience of all international modes of transportation, including air and ocean, for import activities.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Experience working with Cisco ERP.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners on organizational initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong problem solving, and decision-making skills, as well as communicating root cause with solutions / next steps   Ability to work under pressure with a high-volume workload.
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus, but not required.
