An ADP client is currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next Outbound Supervisor to join our team in our Doral, Florida 33172 location.

About the Role:

This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with warehouse Out-bound operations. The Outbound Operations Supervisor is a hands-on role which oversees shipping of the company's products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inventory management, supervision of shipments, product bin replenishment, ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse and providing management and direction to warehouse staff in a positive, problem-solving attitude, be innovative, and results-oriented and lead by example. Hands-on warehouse management experience essential.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. 

  • Provide appropriate level of hands-on instruction and direction to ensure employees have clear path to operational success
  • Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
  • Plan and coordinate employee work; train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of a warehouse team
  • Report on freight and total shipping cost
  • Focus on the implementation of the warehouse management system
  • Oversees the transports of incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack
  • Performs quality inspections on outgoing materials and products
  • Supplies support to the rest of the bulk and PPS team
  • Supervises the daily work and safety of employees engaged in shipping and all warehouse functions including receivers and forklift operators
  • Oversees and report labor hours and consumable supplies
  • Prepares work schedules including extra workdays and shifts as needed
  • Inspects the proper utilization of Company assets in support of the warehouse
  • Coordinates required repairs as necessary
  • Reviews warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting
  • Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of changes within warehouse operations
  • Conducts shipment audits daily ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed and that material is checked and prepped correctly with a minimum potential for loss
  • Coordinates out-bound scheduling to ensure efficient inbound operations
  • Assists with monitoring facility/racking damage to ensure a safe and clean warehouse
  • Aids with the training of new associates, including cross-training of existing associates
  • Sets up the warehouse in support of in-bound operation and communicates any warehouse issues
  • Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings
  • Maintains on-going interaction with in-bound supervisor
  • Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures
  • Monitors associate morale
  • Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures
  • Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections
  • Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required
  • Executes management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations
  • Performs the duties of employees supervised and other related duties as needed

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree preferred, but not required in logistics or customer supply chain
  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in logistics
  • Need Warehouse Management System platform experience
  • Supports Operations Manager by analyzing process workflow and implementing changes
  • Knowledge of proper product handling and storage
  • Strong inventory management
  • Strong leadership skills including team facilitation, training, and motivation; able to work well with all levels of team members with different backgrounds and needs
  • Knowledge with OSHA regulations, maintains a safe working condition and leads accident prevention initiatives to reduce injuries and workers compensation losses
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus, but not required
