Administrative Assistant (Medical) - Full Time (Onsite)

Clinix Healthcare is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Dublin, Ohio, 43010.

About the Job:
This position is able to perform administrative duties such as updating client files, follow-up phone calls to various case sources and compiling data for reports. These additional tasks require greater knowledge of the product and the business.

Salary: $18 - $21 per hour
Training: 12 weeks of extensive paid training
Shift: Monday - Friday (8.5 hours a day)

Job Duties:
  • Perform telephonic and general office clerical responsibilities.
  • Add information regarding members and providers in the clinical data system.
  • Provide clerical support to obtain demographic information not obtained upon initial phone call.
  • Assist Clinical Evaluators in verification of scheduled admission dates and discharge dates.
  • Initial demographic data entry for cases for review.
  • Updates client information in system.
  • Call clients/providers to verify group eligibility; obtain lab results as requested.
  • Run special reports as requested.
  • Interacts with peers, managers, health care providers, payers, and caller in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Retrieve telephone messages from the voice mail system at least every hour throughout the workday as directed.  Promptly return calls to the parties calling within 1-2 hours.
  • Prepare reports as requested using Microsoft software programs.
  • Answers all calls within 3 rings.
  • Participates in the function of the Quality Management Committee.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Acts as a liaison to other department staff and functions.
Education:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must have ability to transcribe medical terminology.
  • Must have excellent phone and office communication skills.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrated skills with word processing programs.
  • US Certification
  • Completion of Medical Assistant Course, preferred.
Experience & Skills:
  • 1 year of telephone service work in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal skills.
  • Use of standard office equipment, including computers.
Physical Demand:
  • Light work.
  • Requires sitting most of the day.
  • May require excessive use of telephonic equipment.
  • May require lifting at times.
  • Works in well-lighted, heated, pleasant and air-conditioned surroundings.
  • No other abnormal hazards or risks involved.
