Print Operations Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Print Operations Manager to join our team in our Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 location. We are a large format digital printing company that specializes in POP, POS and custom signage.

About the Role:
The Print Operations Manager will be able to provide leadership that drives operational excellence, continual improvement, and teamwork throughout the business. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below duties but could change based on evolution of technology and/or business itself.
What You’ll Do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
• Managing department managers to ensure their team members follow policies & procedures while meeting customer deadlines
• Solving problems including investigating production delays and difficulties, recommending alternative methods of manufacturing, and working with managers for scheduling employees between departments, when necessary, based on workflow
• Implementing of new systems, procedures, policies and overseeing all aspects of the business
• Approving days off / timecards when necessary
• Leading twice-daily production meetings utilizing Avanti cloud-based software
• Holding manager meetings to discuss opportunities, problems, potential problems, and issues that impact the workflow, quality or client relationships and work with teams to create and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring Quality Assurance standard operating procedures are followed for every project
• Initiating and maintaining OSHA requirements throughout buildings
• Working with managers and staff to enforce procedures to ensure all safety, regulatory and compliance measures are met within the company
• Working with managers to ensure all building and maintenance operations are in good operational condition (ex. air compressors, humidification systems, HVAC, etc.)
• Strategic planning and forecasting; appraisal performances; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs
• Ensuring new employees receive proper training to be a successful team member
• Backing up any manager when necessary
• Attendance/reporting OT for proper documentation
• Providing written information about discussions you have with your team about policy and procedures
• Maintaining relationships with customers to provide a high level of customer satisfaction
• Assisting with special projects
Our Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience:
• 4+ years of management experience
• Experience in working in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
• Large format printing experience is preferred
• Experience in distribution, operations, warehousing, and inventory is a plus
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Lift packages that typically weigh at least 30 lbs.
• Stand, sit and walk for up to 8-10 hours
• Work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Problem solve and provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer requirements
• Proficient using Microsoft Office 365
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Analyze, comprehend, and implement procurement and fabrication schedules
