About the role
Processing Associate
We are currently seeking a 2nd shift Processing Associate to join our team in our Portland, TN 37148 location. We are a BRC Certified company that develops & produces fully cooked pork, beef & poultry products for all segments of the food industry; domestic and international.
About the Role:
• The Processing Associate is responsible for operating the bone saw, casing machine, metal detector, stuffing horn and how to prepare the product for cooking. They are responsible for wearing the proper PPE and keeping their areas sanitized. They should also be familiar with and follow the quality and safety standards set by BRC and Stevison Meat Company.

What You’ll Do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
• Operating the bone saw, casing machine, metal detector and stuffing horn
• Preparing products for cooking
• Wearing the proper PPE for the area
• Keeping the area clean and sanitized
• Following any required safety and food standard guidelines
• Reporting any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to your supervisor immediately
Our Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma / GED preferred
• Previous job-related work experience
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Working in a cold, wet environment
• Stand for up to 12 hours/day
• Peel, weigh and stack
• Dependability with attendance
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate machinery safely
• Operate a computer
• Understand and follow food safety standards
• Follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury to yourself or others
