About the role


An ADP client is currently recruiting for an experienced individual to be our next Architect to join our team in our Roseville, CA 95747 location. We welcome candidates from other states to apply.

Who We Are:

Ten South Development is the development wing of a broader portfolio of real-estate related companies. We are a vertically integrated operation that finances, develops, constructs, and manages/operates commercial real estate across the country. We specialize in multifamily housing and have a particular expertise in mixed-income and affordable housing (though we also develop luxury product as well). We work in a variety of states, but most of our new work is in California.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. 

  • Prepare complete architectural drawings – from schematics/conceptual renderings through final construction drawings – for new projects
  • Oversee site planning in conjunction with our civil engineers
  • Supervise third party engineers (such as structural engineers or MEP engineers) in their contributions to building design
  • Work with our development and management teams to ensure planning and design meet their requirements
  • Work with our construction team to value-engineer plans
  • Visit construction sites to ensure work is being done to the architect’s satisfaction
  • Lead teams, as well as be a productive team member
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • NAAB accredited architecture degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with experience designing plans for multifamily developments including apartment complexes and townhouses
  • Standard working hours are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 4pm. Evening and weekend work will be uncommon but may be required as job duties demand

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoDesk, AutoCAD, and either Sketchup or Revit (though preferably Revit)
  • Licensing to work as an architect in the state of California. If the candidate does not presently have such a license, he/she will be expected to attain it as soon as possible after employment
  • Willing to live in the broader Sacramento area. For candidates not presently in the area, we will offer a competitive relocation package that will include one year of free rent in one of our Class-A, luxury townhouses (these units normally rent for close to $4,000 per month)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Dependable, great attitude, and team player
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility to work in a changing environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
