Electrical Engineer

DPI Labs is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in La Verne, California 91750.

Responsibilities:
  • Electronic hardware design and documentation of new product. Support existing products.
  • Work from marketing input, concept, or definition to finished products. 
  • Coordinates engineering activities including technology selection, circuit design, component selection, PCB design, prototypes, testing and verification, certification, marketing support, and customer support.
  • Manage external resources and contractors to complete the projects.
  • Interface with customers to gather inputs and provide support.
  • Liaising with Sales and Marketing for new product designs.
Our ideal candidate:
Education and experience
  • BS or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Analog, digital, low-to-mid power switching power supply design.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in high reliability aerospace electronics environment.
  • EMI/EMC design experience.
  • Schematic capture and PCB design layout experience (preferred Altium)
  • SPICE circuit simulations.
  • Hands-on test and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160. 
Additional Skills and Abilities:
  • 115VAC 400Hz design experience.
  • Custom manufacturing industry exposure.
  • Understanding of comm protocols including CAN and RS485.
  • Experience with FMEA, MTBF.
  • Experience with high density layout for micro controllers and processors.
  • Experience with real-time and embedded applications.
  • AutoCad or similar CAD exposure.
