Inventory and Audit Accountant

Demis Product Inc. is currently seeking a Inventory and Audit Accountant to join their team in Lithonia, Georgia.

Demis Products was founded in Lithonia, GA in 1973.  We are a leader in the wood craft industry and one of the largest manufacturers of quality unfinished wood products proudly made in the U.S.A.  We currently employ 100 full-time and temporary professionals and craftsmen and are growing quickly in each area of our business.  We focus on quality, innovation, service, and design. Demis operates from a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility and a 40,000 square feet warehouse and distribution center based in metro Atlanta with an expanding global reach in Asia and South America.  

Duties:
  • Ability to quickly learn and master an MRP/ERP/accounting software suite to accurately monitor inventory and costs of goods sold. 
  • Manage and audit all as aspects of inventory management.
  • Involved in both domestic and international partnerships to ensure accurate receipt of goods and costing.  
  • Assist with reconciling shipping, billing and inventory each month. 
  • Assist with month-end close and run monthly reports as required.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 
  • Take the initiative to undertake process improvement and compliance.
Education and Experience/ Skills:
  • Entry level or recent college graduate seeking a corporate accounting and operational position with career growth potential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field required.
  • Professional attitude and high level of integrity.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in Excel, Word and accounting software; Microsoft SQL knowledge a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to interpret figures and do financial analyses.
  • Good communication, organizational, time management skills.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Goal oriented and self-starter.
  • Solution oriented and good problem-solving skills.
