Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in our Martinez, CA (94553) location.

About the Role:
This position, in partnership with our outsourced marketing company, shall drive membership growth, and new business development strategies. The Business Development Manager (BDM) shall have responsibility for achieving strategic growth goals and mission-oriented goals. In this role, the BDM shall also provide leadership in sales enablement, go‐to‐market strategies, market definition, product positioning, and develop early customer relationship. This is a highly visible position that interacts with a broad level of the company and community with creativity and energy.

What We Offer:
$60,000 - $80,000 annually based on experience

What You’ll Do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned 
Work with CEO and marketing partners to formulate strategies, initiate direction, and analyze results of promotional campaigns to accomplish strategic goals and mission
Provide regular reports to management and develop and maintain the annual marketing plan/calendar
Manage advertising and marketing presentation in coordination with marketing vendor, including posters, promotional items, social media, email blasts, website, postcards, newspaper ads, and flyers
Promote the credit union and financial literacy at County events, schools, and businesses
Conduct research and manage competitive product/solution analyses and positioning
Participate in meetings to understand strategic business direction and goals
Develop and implement member surveys that gauge effectiveness and recommend adjustments to overall credit union presentation including facilities, staff, products, services, attitude, strategies, and marketing campaigns
Research and recommend product or service enhancements to provide quality member service and to meet the financial needs of members
Responsible in ensuring ample supplies of marketing materials (including ordering) and that all information on the website, all social media platforms and in branch are all up to date
Contact prospective members, auto dealers, RV/boat and motorcycle dealers, schools, organizations, etc. within the field of membership to present information on products and services of the credit union and build a relationship with their company and/or employees
Be a visible presence in the local community to promote the credit union through visible participation in business, community, and charitable organizations
Ensure that all marketing and public relations materials comply with State and Federal rules and regulations for the credit union. Keep abreast in changing rules and regulations
Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Our Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of Product Management/Sales experience preferred 
Extensive experience in Business Development and/or outside sales
Experience presenting to senior management internally and externally
Demonstrated verbal, written, and visual presentation expertise

Required Skills and Abilities:
Travel to businesses and local events occasionally 
Demonstrated creative and analytical skills
Demonstrated propensity for strategic thinking 
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher and Power Point
Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others
