Junior Data Analyst

An ADP client is currently recruiting an experienced, well-cultural, and challenged individual to be our next Analyst to join our team in our Downtown, Miami, FL location.    This is not a “remote” or hybrid role.

About the Role:

The Data Analyst to join our Investment Portfolio Loss Recovery & Claims Filing team. You will be responsible for supporting the department through accessing data, building report, and providing analytical insights.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable data management and analytical skills. You will be working closely with data daily, especially all data-related tasks such as collection, managing, processing, and estimating along with all the team members including people from different departments, or individually.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. 

  • Handles routine data bases including planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.
  • Collects and interprets data.
  • Processes source data and related information, and review data for any potential deficiencies.
  • Detects, corrects, and resolves any potential deficiencies following the standard procedures, as well as request further information or clarification if the given information was incomplete, ensure the source data ready for further analyze.
  • Implement source data for further analyze, including testing, estimating, calculating and so on.
  • Analyzes results and compiles, sorts, arranges, and presents data, information, results following requirements.
  • Combines data, results generated from different systems and maintain the results in the secured destination.
  • Follows requirement to export and update existing results at any time.
  • Ensures the organization's database is always accurate and up to date.
  • Participates in communication for any case discussion/developments.
  • Secures information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains data/information confidence and protects operations by keeping data/information confidential.
  • Works closely with Legal, Client Relations and Marketing Departments.
  • Establishes workflow, and analyst project priorities.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics, business administration, economics, management information systems or related field or equivalent related experience.
  • Background in Finance or Economics is a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analysis and research methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office especially in Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Fundamental financial knowledge, including knowledge of different aspect financial derivatives, ability to interpret financial statements such as cash flow, balance sheet and others, is required.
  • Knowledge about SPSS, R, or Python.
  • Knowledge about Bloomberg.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and research skills.
  • English, any second language is a plus, German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin/Cantonese.
  • Ability to QA and troubleshooting data.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills.
