Sales and Marketing Director

An ADP Client is currently seeking a Sales and Marketing Director for Mass Market to join the team in Miami, Florida 33126.

About the Role:

The Sales and Marketing Director will be responsible for increasing sales in the Mass Market Grocery channel. This will be accomplished by developing and executing the sales and marketing strategy for all Mass Market customers (existing and potential). This position is expected to work in the Miami Office. The ideal candidate will be looking for a stable, long-term fit. We are looking for someone to help the organization reach its full potential and develop/grow with the company.

Principal Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales budget and customer growth strategies for the Mass Market Sales Department

Aggressively pursue new business with regional and national mass market grocery chains

Cost management of product margins, freight, outsourcing/production

Manage and mentor sales manager & sales staff, farm coordinator, designer, Quality Control, etc.)

Product development (design direction, pricing structure, product line approvals)

Present company capabilities and/or product lines at customer meetings/shows

Develop and present category management, merchandising and marketing ideas to customers for improved retail sell-thru

Gain exposure in the media (Public Relations)

Build relationships with farm personnel

Oversee product procurement (flowers, hard goods, etc.)

Handle sensitive situations with customers and farms (major pricing negotiations, order issues, etc.)

Travel:

This position requires extensive travel in pursuit of new leads and building client relationships. Average travel can be 1-2 times a month. All travelling expenses will be covered by a company credit card. Travel will be nation-wide.

Travel to Colombia for farm meetings, as needed.

Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (EST) during non-holiday/rush periods. During holiday/rush periods, work schedules may be modified at Management’s discretion to include nights and/or weekends.

Our ideal candidate:

Qualifications, Education and Experience

Must have 5 years’ working experience in Sales/Marketing, Business development, territory sales. Must have knowledge and experience working in the Floral business (Floral department director, plant department director, etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress towards goals over company goals.

Strong problem solver. Experience in dealing with Multiple Customers’ needs throughout the day.

Extremely Professional Demeanor.

Exhibit excellent customer service.

Must have a highly reliable and go-getter personality.
