Audit & Tax Accountant

 

An ADP client is currently recruiting for experienced individuals to join their Audit, and Tax teams in their Downtown Manhattan, NY 10006 location.

About the Role:

As a member of the engagement team, you will be involved in all aspects of audit and accounting, and tax engagements for clients in a broad range of industries.

What You Will Do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

Auditing:

  • All aspects of audit, review, and SSARS 21 engagements, including engagement planning, performing audit procedures, preparation of work papers, and financial statements.
  • Interact with client staff to gather information, resolve issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Work closely with members of the engagement team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Tax:

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Progress toward CPA certification, a plus
  • Should have 2 to 3 years of current quality CPA firm experience. We also have openings for tax seniors/supervisors with 4 to 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience with CCH Engagement, ProSystem FX Tax, and XCM Workflow software is a PLUS.
  • Should have experience working with closely held companies in a broad range of industries including real estate, investment partnerships, family offices, wholesale distribution and healthcare.
  • Should have experience working with U.S. federal and multi-state returns, as well as exposure to tax research (for Tax role).

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a paperless environment.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A desire to grow professionally and commitment to client service.

Company Offers:

  • Salary range is $80k to $90k, commensurate with experience and education.
