Business Officer
We are currently seeking a Business Officer to join its commercial real estate team in New York, NY.

About the role:
Responsible for (i) modeling, preparing client presentation materials, writing internal deal screening memos, and assisting with annual reviews and credit applications, assisting in the structuring and execution of new commercial real estate financings, (ii) assisting in monitoring and reporting of the portfolio (iii) accomplishing compliance and reviews and (iii) assisting in the marketing efforts.
What you’ll do:
• Model asset level cash flows. Strong proficiency in Excel
• Prepare and assist in the preparation of detailed credit applications, screening memos, and presentations.
• Prepare regular reports to be submitted by Department.
• Monitor loan documentation and due diligence items using established and custom loan closing checklists.
• Execute compliance due diligence
• Oversee ongoing loan due diligence items during life of loan.
• Participate in property inspections and market tours.
• File, organize and maintain Department loan files and general files.
• Participate in special projects as requested.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a financial or related discipline; one to two year(s) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and abilities:
• Working knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Equity capital structures as well as third parties involved in Real Estate Finance and Debt Capital Markets: i.e. specialized law firms, real estate valuation firms, consultants
• Understanding of the Commercial Real Estate US market (i.e. office, retail, industrial/warehouse, multifamily)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate to meet overall team goals
Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000
