Operations Director

SieMatic USA is currently seeking an Operations Director to join their team in Northeast Philadelphia area.

About the role: 

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many kinds of operational activities. The candidate must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

What you'll do:
  • Key support to the CEO to ensure the operational side of the business is performing to its full potential. 
  • Liaise with CEO to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Responsible for the HR Management of the company
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • To manage resources, along with developing, maintaining, and improving operational plans.
  • To manage staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback on a weekly basis
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Work closely with HQ departments such as Logistics, Purchasing and Accounting to ensure all departments are interlinked in their processes.
  • Work closely with all three sales channels (Retails, Dealers, and projects) to ensure key data is captured and reported in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the team in Germany by establishing relationships and opening lines of communication
  • Establish a successful relationship with our key vendors
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • Expand panel of approved vendors, develop objectives for further economies of scale.
  • Dispute resolution skills. Support sales team in resolving any arising problems or complaints.
  • Support and assist logistics department as needed.
  • Review all current logistics processes and vendors and recommend improvements
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  • Purchase and Logistics strategy
  • Interface between PM and Finance for completion reports for revenue recognition
Our ideal candidate:
Education and experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • Proven experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position
  • HR experience
  • Sales experience in customer journey and end consumer management
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at any one time
  • Experience in retail networks dealerships
  • Economic thinking / cost analysis skills
  • Process Management skills
  • Teamworking skills
  • Language: English - German and Spanish (optional)
  • Advanced software skills Office / SAP
