Senior Real Estate Accountant
The Dermot Company LP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Accountant to join our team in New York, NY (10019). Hybrid Model

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be one that is up for a dynamic work environment, comfortable communicating with various stakeholders and departments, and eager to learn.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
  • Enjoy working in a supportive team setting while developing collaborative relationships with corporate and onsite coworkers
  • Oversee monthly financials, supporting schedules and reporting packages
  • Assist with operational budgeting and cash forecasting/analysis
  • Provide guidance to on-site teams, AP/AR, and investment teams on financial reporting matters.
  • Liaise year-end audits and tax return preparation
  • Communicate with different levels of professionals on financial reporting matters
  • Maintain loan compliance
  • Ad hoc projects and improvements as identified by employer or suggested by employees
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is required (degree in accounting a plus)
  • Prior experience in public accounting firms or a real estate-related industry 
  • Solid understanding of general accounting concepts
  • Familiar with budgeting and cash flow concepts
  • Experience in real estate tax or audit or funds and assets is a plus
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • CPA is a plus
  • Authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
