About the role

Medical Device Manufacturing Company is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in the Long Island, NY region.

About the Role:

·         The HR Generalist will support all the administrative tasks of an HR department, including recruitment, HR record maintenance, payroll administration, and organization policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

  • ·         Will be responsible for recruitment efforts handling advertising, candidate tracking, Resume screening, interview booking, reference checks and documentation
  • ·         Will manage the onboarding process e.g., induction packs, send out new joiner process notices, execute new hire set up processes
  • ·         Order and maintain uniform inventory as needed
  • ·         Will ensure all employee certifications are up to date with Health and Safety, induction training and policy training as necessary
  • ·         Support training and development project administration, record tracking, data handling, etc.
  • ·         Will administer all aspects of the various HR policies and ensure compliance to all statutory regulations
  • ·         Create attendance reports, annual leave reports
  • ·         Will managing timeclock, payroll amendments and payroll queries
  • ·         Assist with compensation benchmarking
  • ·         Initiate and process weekly payroll with PEO in conjunction with the HRBP
  • ·         Maintain payroll deductions, deferrals, and withholdings for all employees
  • ·         Support engagement activities and communications including All Hands, HR catch ups, engagement questionnaire and continuous improvement and retention initiatives

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education and Experience

·         Minimum of 3-5 years’ prior Human Resources experience

·         Experience in all HR concentration areas such as recruitment; benefit administration; compensation; workforce planning and employment; employee relations; strategic management; employee development; and training

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

·         Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes having the ability to influence management when appropriate

·         Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to manage priorities and workflow and to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

·         Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

·         Ability to prepare reports and company-wide business correspondence
