Registered Nurse

An ADP client is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Princeton, Illinois (61356).

Who we are:
Associated Gastroenterology Consultants Inc is a Medical Group that has 3 practice medical offices located in Peru, Princeton and Ottawa. We have 7 health care providers, specializing in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (Cns), Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, being reported as members of the medical group. Medical taxonomies which are covered by Associated Gastroenterology Consultants Inc include Gastroenterology, Physician Assistant, Family, Adult Health.

What you'll do:
Triage & assessment of all patients via telephone or in the office when patient asks for nurse assistance
Calling test results to patients to give recommendations as noted by providers
Nurse Office visits with patients-education of (HCV, infusions, injections & fibroscans)
Refill Medications for provider and NP per protocol
Fill out work/school excuses, Leave paperwork or FMLA
Complete and submit prior authorization to insurance companies for coverage of medications
Complete daybook tracking of op notes, path reports to ensure all information has been received and send to physician
Enter recall information into computer.
Notify patients of results via portal or mail.
Schedule patients for infusions/ injections/HCV treatments
Help staff with overbooks when needed
Assist providers with getting information on in patient consults
Educate patients
Maintain contact with providers on issues when not in the office and report to staff.
Perform Fibroscans in office testing.
Help with getting patients ready for providers if procedure coordinator and medical assistance are busy to ensure the clinic to be efficient.
Procedure scheduling if procedure coordinators are out.
Obtain medical records when the providers request 
Remain up to date on nursing practices
Keep RN license active
Fill in other locations when needed.
Participates in work groups as needed to support administrative initiatives.
Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.

Our ideal candidate:
Education and experience
High School Diploma or GED
Must have 1-2 years’ experience working as a registered nurse. 
Active RN license is a must have. 
Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Excellent written skills.

Adheres to AGC policy and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Exhibits effective communication within the department and with all other departments.
Implements and maintains clinical area in accordance with OSHA/CLIA standards
Communicates updated clinical information and office procedures to other team members
Maintains CPR completion card
Insures that supplies and equipment necessary to complete the work assignments are available for continuity with the workflow, safety, and cost effectiveness.
Adheres to Service Excellence Behavior Standards.
Transfer interoffice items between offices
Performs mandatory compliance training yearly.
