Administrative Assistant

PRINCETON CHILD DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Princeton, New Jersey.

About Us:
PCDI, a NJDOE approved school for children with disabilities, ages 3-21, seeks an Administrative Assistant with strong typing, editing and computer skills. Experience with database management is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be a team player who is reliable, adaptable, and flexible. Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office and carry out administrative duties
  • Welcome visitors and callers, answer, or direct inquiries, accurately take messages, manage calendars, and regularly check company voicemail and email
  • Create/edit agendas, memos, progress reports documents and templates such as agendas, memos; maintain paper and electronic files
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and shipments; open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail and other materials, and answer routine correspondence
  • Maintain and update calendars
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field preferred
  • 1-3 years related experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams
  • Ability to prioritize and independently follow through on all tasks and projects and to multi-task as needed
  • Produce letters, memoranda, reports, etc. as necessary, proofread documents for appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
