About the role
HR Generalist
An ADP Client, Saga Kapital Group Inc. is currently looking for a HR Generalist to join their team in Southern California.
About the role:
- Seeking a bright, experienced individual with a strong background in full cycle HR and implementation to work with us to perform day-to-day Human Resources duties. Duties include recruiting, implementation of policies & procedures, State and Federal requirements, processing new hire and termination paperwork, status changes, employee relations, training, and payroll processing.
- This position reports directly to the President/CEO.
What you’ll do:
- Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans, policies and procedures that abide by State and Federal Requirements, implementation of Employee handbook, etc.
- Coordination of all hiring, termination, discipline, and other employee related management.
- Revise and update all employee benefit booklets and other employee benefit communications.
- Coordinate the company benefit programs for all United States employees including health, group life insurance and 401K plans. Maintain all relevant records and documents, renewals, and communication.
- Process biweekly payroll using established guidelines and pay procedures.
- Manages all aspects of the recruitment-cycle for positions including but not limited to job positing, recruiting/sourcing, interviewing, pre-employment process and new hire on-boarding.
- Serves as point person for the communication of medical benefit and 401k information, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment and status changes.
- Provides support for site leadership team on performance management and progressive discipline processes.
- Manages workers’ compensation and unemployment claims for the site.
- Work closely with CEO/President on employee engagement efforts.
- Ability to manage content and improve the Employee Handbook and related processes.
- Ability to train and assist onsite management staff on HR policies and procedures.
Our ideal candidate:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years working in Human Resources, full cycle Recruitment and Implementation is a MUST.
- Advance knowledge and experience of State and Federal requirements for policies and procedures.
- Proficient with HRIS systems; PREFERABLE ADP Workforce Now.
- Knowledge and experience working in Shipping/Delivery, courier service industries are a plus to have.

Schedule/Compensation/Benefits:
- Schedule is Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8 AM-5 PM and some Saturdays are a must.
- This is a remote position with regular expected travel, as needed (from 1-4 days a week) to FedEx facility locations within a 50-mile radius.

- Compensation including annual salary based upon relevant experience and education
- (Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance) 100% Employer paid with 90 Day waiting period
