About the role

An ADP Client, Is actively seeking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Rochester Hills, MI 48307.

Position Summary:

The Finance Controller at Guy Hurley Insurance Agency, Inc is accountable for the operations of the agency, to include driving the subsidiary closing process, producing management discussions and analysis (MD&A), oversight of the internal control environment, and leading the integration of acquired entities. The Finance Controller reports directly to the CEO.

Job Description:

  • Manager Operations in the Accounting & Finance department, including Accounts Receivable, Company payables, Cash, Billing, and local General Ledger
  • Coordinates all financial reporting for Keystone Agency Partners LLC.
  • Completes monthly financial statement closing procedures efficiently and accurately; works closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure on-time and accurate closing deliverables
  • Owner of financial integration for all acquired entities, which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Cash cutoff procedures and go-forward consolidation of treasury into platform accounts
  • Working with acquired accounting professionals to properly record balance sheet cut-offs
  • Mapping acquired trial balance to local system and designing/monitoring interim solutions for immediate reporting during system integration
  • Participates closely with operations as systems are integrated, ensure financial accounts are integrated completely and accurately
  • Prepare timely ad-hoc reports for local and corporate management
  • Provide monthly financial analyses of revenue and other key operating metrics to the local and corporate management
  • Oversee and develop financial reporting that includes Key Performance Indicators, corporate and producer dashboards

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing accounting and/or financial operations

Preferred Requirements:

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Experience working with financial software
