About the role
Controller
A Privately Owned ADP Client in the Real Estate Management/Development Business is currently seeking a Controller to join our team of professionals in Tampa, FL 33613
About the role:
As the Controller you serve as the primary owner of all the accounting functions, including systems, procedures, and policies.
What you'll do:
- Financials, Budgeting, and Internal Control for multiple entities
- Create or suggest efficiencies
- Financial entity oversight and involvement
- Corporate Officer for some entities
- Owners’ personal financials, and investments, oversight, and involvement
- Payroll oversight and involvement
- Year-end tax return preparation
- Year-end tax return 'organizing and liaison' with outside tax accountants, for trusts and personal returns
- Year-end filing of annual reports with States for all entities
- Cash management and Bank account oversight, and bank liaison
- Monthly group insurance billings to departments/entities
- Liaison with IT provider re needs, data backups, equipment, etc.
- Property tax coordination of trims, payments, and reimbursements
- Insurance Buyer for Health/Property/Liability Coverage
Our Ideal candidate:
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience
- BA or BS in Accounting preferred
- CPA would be a plus
Skills and abilities:
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail oriented and ability to prioritize
- Reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively
- Someone loyal and looking for a long-term landing spot
