Product Manager

Q-railing USA is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team in Tustin, CA 92780 who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with multiple departments to design, build and roll out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

About the Role:
You will be responsible to develop new product amendments by identifying potential product uses, conducting market research, generating product requirements, developing marketing strategies, and determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction.

What You’ll Do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
  • Leads product improvement, strategy, and redesign from concept through development and manufacturing to market launch.
  • Determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines with HQ in Germany by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
  • Work with sales management to assist in developing product sales strategies.
  • Provides information for US management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, special reports, assessments and answering questions and requests.
  • Assist with US inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
  • Introduces new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and production with HQ in Germany and branches in the USA.
  • Assist in determining product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, and costing special and customized orders.
  • Works with US marketing and sales departments to ensure product success and market growth.
  • Completes operational requirements and meets product development deadlines by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on quality control and testing.
  • Identifies and manages new and existing product partnerships in the US and globally.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, and participating in professional societies.

Education and Experience:
  • MS/BS degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager within the railing market.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in railing or construction product

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to get the job completed.
  • Skilled at working effectively with multiple departments in an organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
