HB Leisure is currently seeking a Games Operations Manager to join our team at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, PA 15122

About the Role:

·         Responsible for the day to day running of a Games Operation and/or Arcade Operation within a partner park.

What You’ll do:

  • ·         Maintaining the stability and reputation of the Company by complying with legal requirements.
  • ·         Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing person networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • ·         Protecting and keeping Company business interests - confidential, except as authorized or required by duties.
  • ·         Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by management and to work in other areas of the operation, where necessary, during closed season to support the business needs of the Company.
  • ·         Promoting the Company in a positive manner when dealing with park personnel, guests, and vendors
  • ·         Ensuring that personal presentation, conduct, and profile is such that it reflects well upon the Company and adheres to any additional regulations issued by the partner park.
  • ·         Knowing how to resolve problems, seeking advice where necessary.
  • ·         Maintaining a high-level of organization pertaining to offices, back-of-house areas, front-of-house areas, and off-site storage facilities).
  • ·         Regularly inspecting operation areas to ensure that interior and exterior standards are maintained at a high-level.
  • ·         Regularly inspecting operation areas for safety concerns and complete safety checks as scheduled in accordance with the Company’s and Park’s healthy and safety policies.
  • ·         Ensuring site keys are kept in a safe and secure manner and under no circumstances are to be left with or lent to any other person unless directed by your direct Manager. 
  • ·         Maintaining staff levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members.
  • ·         Ensuring site recruitment is carried out in accordance with Company policies and state/federal requirements.
  • ·         Promoting the development of all team members, especially those interested in advancing in the Company.
  • ·         Ensuring all team members are promptly integrated into ADP and with the utmost accuracy.
  • ·         Ensuring all team members have received a full Company induction along with adequate and specific training to perform in their roles.
  • ·         Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members; following up on work results.
  • ·         Carrying out appropriate disciplinary action, in accordance with Company policy and procedures with prior guidance from management and consultation with the Company’s Human Resource Business Partner (ADP).
  • ·         Ensuring that staffing ratios are observed and improved, whilst maintaining operational objectives. To be prepared to cover reasonable additional hours where appropriate team members are absent.

  • ·         Motivation of all team members to contribute to the maximum efficiency in the day to day running of the site.
  • ·         Ensuring a good working environment is established, to obtain the maximum commitment from team members.
  • ·         Monitoring individual staff by accompanying and reviewing them in the performance of their duties on a regular basis.
  • ·         Providing training as required, to ensure company procedures are adhered to and standards maintained.
  • ·         Ensuring documentation submitted by yourself and staff who report to you, is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • ·         Maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • ·         Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • ·         Promoting the concept of teamwork to enhance business opportunities and achievement.
  • ·         Ensuring budgeted targets are achieved and operating standards are adhered to. 
  • ·         Striving to achieve financial objectives by working with an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • ·         Working within given budget constraints whilst pursuing maximum operating efficiency and profitability.
  • ·         Conducting daily and weekly audits of the central floats to ensure accuracy of funds in safes, bags, and refund overages back to the revenue
  • ·         Monitoring the productivity of the team members as well as ensuring all cash handling policies and procedures are being met.
  • ·         Monitoring the productivity of the games (carnival and arcade games) to ensure they’re always working at their full potential
  • ·         Marketing merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
  • ·         Ensuring availability of merchandise by maintaining accurate weekly inventory counts.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education and Experience

  • ·         Minimum 1-2 years of Customer Service, Hospitality or Food industry related experience
  • ·         High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills and Abilities

·         While performing their duties at ‘The Park’, a Games Manager is regularly required to interact with the general public, co-workers, and guests of various ages.

·         HB Leisure Inc. Games Managers will be standing, walking, using their hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

·         HB Leisure Inc. Games Managers are occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·         HB Leisure Inc. Games Managers are required to lift up to 10lbs and occasionally up to 30lbs.

·         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
