About the role

An ADP Client is actively seeking for a Facilities Coordinator to join their team in White Plains, NY 10604.

Additional Position Details: Non-Exempt, 100% onsite

Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager with the maintenance and daily operations of the building. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with maintaining building cleanliness, security, food services, mailroom functions and interfacing with outside vendors. This position is 100% on-site.

Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Assists with maintaining central systems within the building (heat, air conditioning, lighting, etc.)
    • Assists with manning the cafeteria service for lunch
    • Stocks all kitchen pantry supplies such as milk, coffee, cereal, and snacks
    • Assists with setting up offices for new hires
    • Maintains building indoor and outdoor cleanliness and safety (pantries and all other indoor common areas and outdoor walkways) 
    • Manages the ordering and distribution of office supplies and bathroom supplies
    • Manages the mailroom function to receive and dispatch packages and all other deliveries, including the distribution of mail throughout the building
    • Manages the shipment of hazardous materials
    • Manages in the product room inventory and organization
    • Assists with setting up loft meeting area and off-site meetings

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Customer-service oriented work approach to fulfill employees’ work-related needs
  • Knowledge and competency with facilities maintenance/operations
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws
  • Sufficient computer skills to compose emails to company employees and to monitor and operate computerized building systems
  • Displays critical thinking and active learning skills
  • Ability to determine cause of operating errors, identify solutions and repair machines/systems using given tools.
    • Ability to work somewhat independently
    • Dependable, cooperative and displays attention to detail
    • Ability to drive the company van for work-related needs (deliveries/pick-ups to post office, stores, banks, etc.)
    • Must be physically able to assist with the moving and transporting of office furniture, cases of office supplies, computer equipment and other manual tasks requiring lifting and moving

Experience and Other Requirements:

    • 2+ years of building maintenance and/or building services experience
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive
    • Experience with mail room, sorting mail (FedEx & UPS) and having familiarity with Hazardous material is highly preferred
    • Must have a car
    • Full COVID-19 Vaccinations (2 Vaccines + Booster)
    • Must be adaptable and flexible
