About the role

ERB Industries (A Delta Plus Group Company) is actively seeking for a Product Manager for their FAME Division to join their team in Woodstock, GA.

Goal:

Manage, design, develop, and promote a product range for the hospitality market in North America, aiming for profitable growth as defined by General Management.

Decision Making and Additional Job Details:

This individual will Operate independently with a strong ability to make and recommend decisions. All new initiatives and projects require approval from the North American Director. Furthermore, any decisions that anticipate incurring expenses must receive validation from the North American Director.

Responsibilities and Objectives:

Expertise in Market dynamics –

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Hospitality, Food Service, Industrial, and PPE Uniform sectors.
  • Aligns product launches with the Headquarters' overarching apparel strategy.
  • Maintains an ongoing, systematic approach to market intelligence, tracking trends in new products, pricing, and regulations.
  • Consistently engaging with key markets through customer visits and participation in trade shows, ensuring a strong market presence.

Strategic Product Portfolio Management for Sustained Growth –

  • Enhances and refines product lines by integrating feedback from the market and the sales team, aiming for optimization and rationalization.
  • Demonstrates a deep grasp of financial implications, focusing on improving margins and overall profitability.
  • Drives sales and margin growth within the assigned portfolio, taking responsibility for financial outcomes.
  • Develops and regularly updates a strategic product roadmap for the next 3 and 5 years, anticipating future market needs.
  • Innovates products that resonate with the needs of specific industries by:
  • Performing ongoing analysis of the product line to make informed decisions based on the success of product life cycles.
  • Engaging in the product certification process to ensure compliance and market acceptance.
  • Collaborating closely with sales representatives and customers to design and deliver bespoke product solutions tailored to unique requirements.

Leadership in Operational Excellence for Profit and Quality Assurance –

  • Spearheads the evaluation of Monthly Sales Data to gauge performance trends, pinpointing strategic opportunities for revenue enhancement and product advancement.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Department to craft and implement targeted sales strategy plans, aiming to amplify market reach and boost sales effectiveness.
  • Develops compelling sales presentations emphasizing unique product benefits and technical specifications, including the provision of launch materials, ensuring product information is current, guaranteeing timely product delivery, and generating educational content for sales training supported by e-learning platforms and business protocols.
  • Works in tandem with the Quality Control (QC) team to establish and maintain processes and documentation in compliance with ISO certification standards, reinforcing a commitment to superior product quality.
  • Actively participates in significant industry events and trade shows (e.g., PPAI, HALO), and undertakes customer visits and sales training sessions to strengthen market engagement, gather critical feedback, and enhance product understanding.

Cooperation with the Central American Manufacturer –

Essential Tasks and Anticipated Outcomes:

  • Engages in close collaboration with the manufacturing team to stay updated on new methodologies and factors affecting costs.
  • Maintains a strong partnership with the Headquarters' Purchasing department to ensure adherence to the Group’s established processes.

Additional Duties –

  • Contributes to other functional areas as required or as circumstances dictate.
  • Maintain the company's relevance and align with current industry trends through competitive intelligence and benchmarking.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Headquarters, Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, Production, and Finance, among others.
