About the role

An ADP Client is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Petersburg, VA.

About the Company:

·       Manufacturer and provider of cutting, finishing, surface preparation and floor care products for professionals and consumers. We market to equipment rental dealers, hardwood and concrete flooring contractors and other industrial outlets nationwide

About the role:  

·       Looking to make our products stand out in the marketplace through marketing initiatives built around product and brand messaging.

What you’ll do:

  • Organize and lead go to market strategies in each sales channel.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Work with Quality Control and Supply Chain management to identify and develop product offerings and product roadmaps from business case development and customer/prospect engagement/research.
  • Partner with the sales team to determine positioning for products, translating those into benefits for collateral to drive demand.
  • Lead pricing, advertising and product launching strategies.
  • Develop “Value Proposition” for each major channel and product line.
  • Evaluate performance using relevant KPIs such as number of qualified leads, cost per acquisition, market share gains, customer feedback scoring.
  • Act as the “messenger of the market” from the outside-in to the rest of the organization.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and develop strategies and tactics to reduce threats

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in marketing or business is desirable but not required.
  • Marketing experience in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment is desirable but not required. 
  • 3+ years of marketing, sales, or product management experience.
  • Tech savvy and passionate about marketing products:
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office and Asana.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM applications such as MS Teams, Infor CRM and SharpSpring.
  • Track record of using data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
  • Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target buyers and users.
  • Must be a comfortable with writing and using business email systems, public speaking and have solid presentation skills.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Subject matter expert/industry experience a strong plus.
